Life Comes at you fast & lumberjacks & terrorists!

BB & her brood will be staying the next week or so here until they make their move to galveston. Im sad really. We always have a great time when we get together, so Im not sure why that hasnt been more often. It's easy to lose touch with others, you have to really work at it to keep any sort of relationship alive, even that of family. People come & go so fast in life that if you dont make the time to spend together, before you know it, the time has gone.

There is a lumberjack in my bed! How is it possible for one to snore so loudly that it does not wake them up?
I dont know how I sleep! So on & on, he snores happily away, lost in Dreamland......wonder if I'll be able to get there. Did I tell you about my truck polo dream?
LMAO
Just on the edge of the bed sits Terrorist Kitty glaring over at me thru barely slitted open blue eyes. Probally half dreaming of extinguishing life on Earth, my bloody demise or maybe just of chasing a string. Either way, he appears vicious. He can be a total sweetheart of a kitty, then rip his razor sharp little claws into some tender body part. Cat's are psycho.

"Hey dragon!", or It's Troll Time w/ Kenzie,' the troll man ' Hannigan

You are a complete moron. Thanks for painting such a perfect picture of yourself & showing everyone what a fucking idiot you are. You just couldn't stay away. You forgot to change your name too. Dragon?
I love it. Also references to things only YOU imagined. Good going dumbass.
Go troll somewhere else.
Mixed with your classic mispellings & references to child abuse, anyone can see who is posting the bullshit. Why don't you go get a life?
What's the matter?
Miss us already?
Been gone too long for you?
No one to take your frustrations out on?
Probally tried to rough up your wife & she whipped your sorry ass.
You also failed to realize I can trace your IP right back to Wichita, kansas, idiot, along with your ISP.
For those of you that don't know who ths troll is. his real name (since hes being such a spineless little coward) is Michael Hannigan from Wichita Kansas. If you live there, you ought to look him up. he works @ the local YMCA. Says hes a trainer there.......
(& before you scream libel, you made every bit of that public knowledge on a public group)
So adieu my trolly little friend, I hope your eenie weenie shrivels up and falls off in your cornflakes, freako!

Workblogginhg Part 3 & Troll Drivel

So the silly little troll thinks he found a way to air his hateful side without being caught. LMFAo, Ummm. no. You are so sad with your anonymous little comments that sound SOooo much lke you. Your usage of words & your pathetic attempts to throw me off. Nuh-uh. Didn't work. You're still stupid. Get a life, or go back & stick it to your horse faced wife a little harder.
Throwing Biblical quotes at me must have been hard. Must have burned as your hypocritical fingers held open that Bible. Even harder having to use spell check for a change. lol Sorry, Haven't stepped on anyone or actually really even pissed anyone off. Dream on troll, Go jerk off your light saber in the bathroom a little longer. You obviously missed me or you wouldn't keep visiting my blog. As for posting photos, HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, get over yourself, I'll post what I like. (rolls eyes) Anyone who wants to read the pathetic comment he left, drop me a line

So back in the world that doesn't contain a troll......fairly quiet day @ work today, nothing like the fireworks of yesterday, funny how things can pile up huh?
Got a lot done already, about 4 committments for title insurance, several note packages, 2 recording packages, signed a gazillion checks, mailed out some insurance policies, & about to order some final title certificates. It's great to be at a job where you're appreciated. Even better to get paid well for it.:-)
Don't you wish you had a real job loser?
If only you could be me! :-)

Workblogging Part 2 & Anonymous comments

Feel a teensy bit guilty blogging from work yet again. Theres a few things I could be doing but I did get a lot done this morning, so...............Anyhoo, so this morning I check my email & theres a request to approve a comment. AN anonymous comment. Hmmmm, seems my little troll buddy has struck again. For those of you familiar with the groups I hang in, it's also more well known as Kenzie Knights. Do a google.LOL He just can't shut up. Seems he replied to my Yeah I'm drunk post. He felt the burning need to mention that" it was good I didnt have my kids with me instead of beating on them like I normally do." Note in point: Anyone who knows me knows of my unfailing & unconditional love 'in love' for my girls, so no worries there. So here's a big F*ck you Kenzie. Keep making stupid comments, it only makes you look stupid.& have a nice happy fucking day.

Thawing out the iceberg & a lonely okie mom

Finally convinced the Ice King to tone down the A/c . 71 degrees outside & he was getting the room down to 56! & he'd still sweat! Holy crap!
So its a tolerable 65 in here, feels warmer almost. Im not shivering, my lips arent blue, I can feel my extremeties & the icicles seem to be melting. You can no longet double the bedroom as a meat locker!
*************
My eldest has been gone to a short overnigfht camp since tuesday, its been wayy too quiet without her here making her sister scream. I think my little one misses her, she mopes arounbd the house. This is also the girls' weekend at their Dad's, so i wont see my older girly til Sunday. Sad lonely here...:-(

Wednesday Why's

Why is it that........
1-Tube socks are called tube socks when there doesn't appear to be any "tubing" involved?
2-Retailers constantly tantalize us with sales that end in 99 cents, when we have all figured out that $19.99 means twenty dollars anyway?
3-"Oreo cookies" became one of the worst pejoratives for black men and women in this country?4-People think of Labradoodles as "boutique dogs" or "unique dogs" when they are really just glorified mutts because of their pedigree?
5-There is nothing really "special" about something listed as a "special" at a restaurant?
6-We can cure major illnesses, but we can't crack 22 divided by 7?
7-Most freeways are no longer free and highways were never really high?
8-We constantly mistreated, abused and murdered Chiefs of Native American tribes and still think it's okay to refer to the President as the COMMANDER IN CHIEF?
9-Candidates are no longer candid? (and never really were)
10-Midwesterners, like me, refer to soda as "pop"?
11-Pants are plural & bra is singular?

Just some stuff to think about...a little food for thought this Wednesday.

Tusa River tax

So anyone from around here has heard at least one side of the river tax proposal. I cant help but be against it. To me it's a no-brainer. I'l list my reasons.

Corps of Engineers approval has not yet been obtained. Why are we going thru with a vote to raise taxes for a project we might not even get approval to do?

Riverbed of the Arkansas River is owned by the Creek nation, not the City or County of Tulsa. If they go altering the river, it alters the riverbed, what’s to say the Creek Nation doesn’t hold us up in court for years to come?

The state of the city’s streets is at an all time bad. They, along with the bridges & overpasses have been neglected for far too long. Our basic infrastructure needs to be attended to before trying to make it a ‘nicer’ place. All the pretty parks in the world aren’t going to bring people to a town where upkeep & maintenance are obviously at the bottom of the totem pole.

Our public schools are a sad reality. All but 3 of our high schools are on the low-performing list, in fact almost half of Tulsa Public Schools are on the list., our teachers are among the lowest paid & our drop out rates are truly phenomenal.

Crime rate in Tulsa out of control. Our crime rate is almost double the national average. The murder rate, per capita, rivals that of New York City.

Vision 2025 addressed some of this already, the 2 low water dams & the shoreline beautification was to be addressed from funds from Vision 2025. Why are we, essentially paying for it yet again?
Where did the money go?

All cities in Tulsa County would not benefit & therefore shouldn’t be taxed. The majority of Tulsa County cities will not directly benefit from the River project, nor would they have occasion to use it. Should cities like Broken Arrow, Collinsville, Owasso, Oakhurst, Prattville & Skiatook have to pay for this?

No trust in the past record of Kathy Taylor & Randi Miller. Both have shown they don’t do things in the best interest of Tulsa; rather in the best interest of their own special interests.

Sales tax rate higher than NYC: The current combined sales tax in Tulsa Oklahoma is over 8.5%. In New York City (widely known as one of the countries highest) it is 8.375%.If the county wide sales tax increase passes, Tulsa’s sales tax will go up to 8.917%Now let’s look at this scenario. How successful will Glenpool, Skiatook, Collinsville, Broken Arrow, and Owasso be in financing their cities if the county has already pushed the taxpayers to the limit. Broken Arrow will most likely be coming out with a financing package early next year for their municipal infrastructure needs. What is the likelihood that the taxpayers have anything left to give? Or want to?

Tulsa very likely will be coming to the taxpayers again soon asking for tax money to pay for road repairs. I have heard estimates of anywhere from $400 million to over $1 billion are needed. What is the likelihood it will pass if we’re already tapped out, and if it does, how likely is Tulsa going to be in attracting new workers if they have one of the highest overall tax burdens in the country, terrible roads, and failing schools? Tulsa County already has the highest combined tax burden of any county in the nearest seven states.

City already can’t properly maintain parks, pools, etc, how are they going to maintain more? Every year, they close more pools because they cant afford to keep them filled & maintained. Our roads are in a sorry shape, bridges falling apart, literally, & this year, the city had to ask for volunteers to do mowing! If we cannot already support what we have, how will we maintain an even larger expense of parks & bridges, dams, etc that will need a lot of costly spending for upkeep?

Altering river can endanger wildlife habitats already in place. The least tern inhabits the Arkansas River, by developing the River & bringing more population encroachment into it, threatens the nesting habits & living spaces of this endangered species.

The 9000 jobs pro’s claim are going to be consisted of temporary construction jobs & then low-paying retail jobs, how’s that going to attract young professionals?
By adding a large amount of low pay retail jobs, it will drive the average wage in Tulsa down even further.

The so-called tax rebate for seniors & low income is only $25.00, they will have to get an application & remember to fill it out & return it.

By adding more parks area, & ignoring the crime rate, will NOT give Tulsa more pride. People here have no pride now, what’s to stop crime, graffiti, trash, & pollution from damaging this multi billion dollar project? Drive along any Tulsa road, you’ll see trash & debris strewn about. What is going to instill pride?

The 117 mill charitable donation is merely a tax shelter & deduction for the rich.

The majority who will frequent the retail on the river will be the upper class, therefore not adding to the ‘entertainment value’ for Tulsa as a whole.

RANT RANT RANT

So I came across this rant blog over here. & the more I read it the more I agreed. So I have to add some more. (hehehehe, you know I love to rant, kind of get a 'oomph' from it). So in Okie mom true style, here we go...............

Nasty pigs who live in my house:

You like to bitch about others hygiene & housekeeping habits but fail to look at your own messes. Look around, See the trash?

the pop bottles?

Ooooh , are those liquor bottles?

cig packs?

In the floor?

OH MY!

Whats that you say?

laundry in the floor?

Whose laundry?

OH GASP, its YOURS! What about the crumbs, dirty dishes, candy wrappers by the living room chair?

You forgot?

There's a trashcan 3 feet away.......

You forgot to turn the tv off?

You walked right by it. & you cringe when we have $700. electric bill!

You complain because you saw some bug, well , how about cleaning up , or taking the damn trash out once in awhile instead of just bitching?

Whats that you say?

That's the kids job?

Wouldn't kill you to help now would it? What do you do around here?

Wash up some laundry & PUT IT AWAY? Why not straighten up the living room, or even clean a toilet?& hey, while you're at it, how about you clean the carpet where you vomited last week & sprayed the wall too? Now about those cats.................if you brush cats, they don't shed so much, if you vacuum , you don't have hair flying everywhere. Hmmmm.....what a concept....brushing the cats, I believe its called responsibility. Whats that smell?

Why i do believe its the litterbox. BLECH, i don't have a cat, the girls clean the boxes i their own rooms, they sometimes clean the ones out here, as do I, why don't you?

You wont do it unless I get pissed off. You have a stroke if someone forgets to flush, but the cats need to crap in a box full of shit?

hmmmmmmmmmmmm, somethings wrong with that picture.Oh yeah, the picture is of a bunch of pigs in my house.

Anonymous emails piss me off!

So I get this email from some COWARD, who has to use a temporary account just to send it. this person is apparently a Christian, according to the content, which I share below.

R Now [rnow56@yahoo.com]
All heathen will flee from His righteousness. It is written: "As surely as I live,' says the Lord, 'every knee will bow before me; every tongue will confess to God." Romans 14:11

Never ceases to amaze me how people like this are just too afraid of being seen for the cowards they truly are. So I say to you anonymous proselytizer, put your money where your mouth is & show your face!
Otherwisw, leave me alone.
Ya jackass.

You Might be a mom if...........

1. Your feet stick to the kitchen floor, and you don't care.

2. When the kids are fighting, you threaten to lock them in a room together and not let them out until someone's bleeding.

3. You can't find your cordless phone, so you ask a friend to call you, and you run around the house madly, following the sound until you locate the phone downstairs in the laundry basket.

4. You spend an entire week wearing sweats.

5. Your idea of a good day is making it through without a child leaking bodily fluids on you.

6. Popsicles become a food staple.

7. Your favorite television show is a cartoon.

8. Peanut butter and jelly is eaten at least in one meal a day.

9. You're willing to kiss your child's boo-boo, regardless of where it is.

10. Your kids make jokes about bodily functions, and you think it's funny.

11. You're so desperate for adult conversation that you spill your guts to the telemarketer that calls...and HE hangs up on YOU!

12. Spit is your number one cleaning agent.

13. You buy cereal with marshmallows in it.

14. The closest you get to gourmet cooking is making Rice Krispie treats.

15. You're up each night until 10:00 P.M. vacuuming, dusting, wiping, washing, drying, loading, unloading, shopping, cooking, driving, flushing, ironing, sweeping, picking up, changing sheets, changing diapers, bathing, helping with homework, paying bills, budgeting, clipping coupons, folding clothes, putting to bed, dragging out of bed, brushing, chasing, buckling, feeding (them, not you), PLUS swinging, playing baseball, bike riding, pushing trucks, cuddling dolls, roller blading, basketball, football, catch, bubbles, sprinklers, slides, nature walks, coloring, crafts, jumping rope, PLUS raking, trimming, planting, edging, mowing, gardening, painting, and walking the dog. You get up at 5:30 AM and you have no time to eat, sleep, drink, or go to the bathroom, and yet...you still managed to gain 10 pounds.

Things that piss me the hell off

1-Idiots who think they are allowed an opinion in politics but do not vote
If you want to jump in the political arena, pay the damn admission price, research the topics at hand and VOTE!

2-Assholes who procreate but won't be a parent
These idiots piss me off so much I could spit like a biker with a mouth full of tobacco! I go to just about any store & hear them shrieking & whining & throwing themselves in the floor. You are the PARENT, grow some balls, smack Jonny or Janie's little ass & do your job. It makes me want to VOMIT hearing some pussy-assed parent whispering "Now Jonny, be a good boy & get up off the floor"

3-People who drive 30mph in a 45 mph zone
If you can't drive, get the hell off the road, period. If youre scared to drive the speed limit, you have no business driving. PERIOD.

4-Hypocrites who criticize how you clean but won't lift a sacred finger to help.
These assholes make my blood boil, they can come into your house, or room, & point out things that should be done differently, or should be done at all, yet theyre the very same ones who make the biggest damn messes & leave them for other's to clean up.

(this space reserved for even more shit that pisses me the hell off)
Feel free to comment & leave your own "What pisses me off's"

Laughter is good for the soul

My sister, whom I affectionately call Bitch Breath, Or BB, stayed over last night, along w/ her oldest daughter & daughter's fiancee. I have never laughed so hard, at least not in a long long time. I needed it too. We sat around half the night, her, my mother, her daughter & I, telling old stories, things I'd half forgotten about. It was great. We talked of elaborate plots we hatched to scare my mother., like army crawling thru her room & grabbing her ankles & making her scream, or how sis & I created a man of stuffed clothes & placed in her bed one night when she was out drinking with friends(I have never seen my mother rocket launch from a bed before. ) & then again several years later & placed it in the backseat of her van, complete with large green zucchinin....ummm......well, you get the idea.....HAHAHAHAHAHA
We talked of how our mother retaliated on BB's son when he squirted her with a water gun as she was laid up w/ a broken ankle-remember super soakers?:-D What a night!
All in all, I had a wonderful time last night, laughter truly is good for the soul, even though I only had a few hours sleep, Im more awake & not feeling like a truck ran over me today than in a long time. I am going to miss this kind of thing, BB's about ready to move to Galveston. I'M sad really. I enjoy her company, as do my girls. Not only that,. she cleans! Shed come over & clean my house.!!!! & Im sure you all know how much I loathe cleaning house.....

Workbloggin'

I don't generally get time to do this, but today is one of thospe days where I just feel lazy, & dont want to be anywhere but curled up in bed, air on, fuzzy blankie wrapped around me, tv buzzing, & doze in & out of reality all day long. Ever get the feeling something is in the air? Like something is about to happen that will cataclysmically affect your life?
Yeah, me either......

Seriously, I've had this feeling the last 2 days, like somethign is going to happen. Maybe drastic weather, huge relationship changes, uprooting at home, job chganges, or maybe just a hangnail, eh?

Pain Sucks

So I wake up this morning, physically feeling fine-would rather sleep another week, but thats another story........ By 9am, shoulders hurting so bad, cant stand it. This afternoon, the hip kicks in. What am I/
An old woman?
Good Goddess, im only 36! I should just get it over with, & crack out the walker & depends.......

Long day

It's been a long day, the kind of day where all you want to do is crawl under a rock & wish noone could find you. Started the day off with running late, then I go out to take my girls to school before heading off to merry work-land. CAR. WONT. TURn. No power steering, now it isnt a big car, but I couldnt even turn it around in the driveway. Grrrrrr

So I get out, unpack the girlies, & tell my mom Im taking the other car, which means I have to re-add the van back to the ins. policy which I just took off 2 days before. Sigh....so much for savings....

So we're on our way, I take her to school, then head for the other ones school & while Im there, I may as well go in & talk to onr of her teachers about an issue.. 3 Flights of stairs later, I trek in the school, one of the teachers mistakes me for a student (yayyy!)

I make it to the classroom of the teacher, shes not there today. UGGGHHHHH, 3 flights of stairs back down. Trek back to the car (out of breath by now- stairs & fat people are not good friends), & head to work, 10 minutes late. Damn.....

I get there & Im hungry already, but guess what?

I forgot my stupid lunch.

Kitty......it's whats for dinner.....

You have no idea how much thi picture pisses off my 7 year old daughter!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
(grinning evilly)

Pit of Death, Part Deux

I'm still in here. I think I'm trapped in the neverending project. Currently blogging yet again from the kids room. Currently avoiding finishing up. BLEH, I'm sick of this room.Going thru the 10+ containers of little crap she has accumalated in 12 yrs. Closet is clean, clothes are hung, books on the shelf, new tv stand in place & neat & tidy. Not like it will stay this way long. Poor kid, shes a clutterbug, or a slob.....If I can get that done, the new containers organized & floor vacuumed, I'll be done, the rest will be her problem, & since shes still grounded from online, that shouldnt be a problem time-wise eh?
Why is she grounded? Schoolwork, Middle school has corrupted my honor roll student, she'd rather goof off, read or draw instead of her assignments. YES I KNOW Geography is very boring but oh well, get over it. Now I know why some animals eat their young....

The Power of Words

Why is it that most people don't stop to think how their words affect someone else. Why don't they consider other's feelings before opening their mouth & making them feel like total shit? Is it ignorance?
Stupidity? Or plain selfishness?
& is it wrong to start to resent them for not being more considerate?

The pit of death

Or more commonly known as my 12 year old daughter's room......sigh. It's scary in here. I'm currently blogging from her room. So far an entire bag of trash. Who knew almost teens were this junky? There , sitting on her bed now, are about 10 various containers(baskets, crates, boxes, etc) of small assorted items. WHY? WHY? WHY is she such a packrat? I have found about 10,000 pieces of paper that she's drawn on. Saving them?

Umm no.

She has clothes & shoes she hasn't worn in 2 years;just all kinds of assorted & odd things in here.

So why am I cleaning her room instead of making her do it?

Cuz I am a sucker, I also want to get her room painted, I have had the freaking paint since February! Anyways........I have confirmed that she does indeed, have a carpeted floor. SHe also seems to have a bed like device in her room, Im working on unburying it.

Meanwhile in the living room, the war rages on....OK, so it's not a war, it's the 6 month old kitten, also known more affectionately as Shiite Muslim terrorist kitty. (no offense meant), this cat can scare the bejeezus out of the most stoic Marine. I.Am.Not.Kidding.

He's evil, I tell ya, pure evil, but in the guise of a blue eyed Siamese mix, looks awfully affectionate & cuddly, but as soon as you turn your back, he sinks his fangs or claws into some unsuspecting exposed body part. I have Satan living in my house.

photos of life in Tulsa

The river is beautful just the way it is...

A rose by any other name.....

Race for the Cure or Walking for Boobies.

So I raced for the cure today. Or to put it more accurately My fat butt walked for the cure.

Our company pays or this each year but I would do it anyway. I have 3 survivirs in my life so far. I probally know more, but they just arent vocal about it. The ice King's mother is a survivor, my stepson's aunt is a survivor & one of the ladies @ the office is a survivor. it's a great cause & It was a great time of fun, friends & knowing we were doing something great.

I'm willing to bet about 10,000 people were out there. it's only a small percentage of our population but an amazing turnout of friends, husbands, children, mothers, fathers, cousins & partners of those affected by this awful disease. I am thrilled to have been a part of it & can't wait to do it again next year. next year, Im doing the 5K.

Possums & the trashman

So we have this closet where the furnace lives. A big ugly hulking metal furnace, it's also the A/c condenser (or however you spell it). It has tubes going under the house, those tubes go into holes cut into the floor, some dumb redneck ass didn't cover the holes very well...............they're smallish holes, but smallish enough .....well, I'll get to that.
I go out in the hall, where said closet resides, one of the cats is nose to ground at the door. I shoo cat away, figuring on some creepy little bug got in & is staking his claim in there. I shoo cat away again & again & again......finally I shudder at the thought of seeing said creepy bug & yank the door open & the cat gets smacked back in the process. What to my wondering eyes should appear?
A miniature sleigh?
NOPE
A creepy bug?
NOPE
A DAMN POSSUM! HOLY CRAp! A Possum. In Tulsa, I mean RIGHT in the middle of Tulsa, MIDTOWN TULSA. A Possum.......
Then I blink, not one, but two. COunt 'em! Two possums in my furnace closet. What do you do with a possum? Possum Stew?
Nope, I put a call in to my trusty animal control place. What?
They close after 5 pm?
But I have a POSSUM!
So what do they send?
A policeman.....sigh........I can hear it now....a call comes thru on the police radio that a house has a small, less than 3 lb intruder...a *&^^&^%&)*(&%% possum!
So the cop comes over, & guess what?
Just as he opens the door & I think this creepy little critter is going to launch out at him & sink his gnashing fangs into the cop, he opens the door to....NOTHING. Yep, of course, well, at least I gave that cop a good laugh for the night!

Unlike the laughs I had this morning, when, for the 2nd week in a row, the trashman did NOT pick up the can of trash we delivered to the appropriate place near the curb. I called to lodge my unending complainta about this 'fine citys' wonderful trash collectors & they say t was becasue it had (ick) fly larva in the can. Well. if they had picked it up last week as they were supposed to, they wouldnt BE THERE!
UGH

So it's A friday Night

& I am beyond bored. Listening to the 'ol man' watching Men in Black & freezing my ass off. yes, I am freezing in September in Oklahoma. Why? You may ask. Because I am engaged to a polar bear. Truly. I . Am.
He sweats at 65 degrees! I am NOT joking. I wish I was. We have this gi-normous wall unit A/c mounted right thru our wall. It's incredible, the thing can get our bedroom (yes the A/c is ONLY for our bedroom) down in the 50's. I am shivering, boob-sicled, blue lipped cold & hes running around half dressed. Did our Creator play a rotten joke on me?
Me....the cold natured, hands & feet always cold one, paired up with the Ice King?

Anyhoo....life can be interesting. Tomorrow on my day off, when My body screams at me to sleep in late, I committed to the Race for the Cure. Sigh..............it's a good cause right?
I like being lazy!
But alas, early I will rise & trek out to Citiplex to walk, hahahahaha, i am NOT racing, for a cure. I should be a teeny more enthused. I should right?

But Ice King is working & the girls are at their Dad's house & My Mom, who lives with us, is working as well. I would be......(do I dare say it?) alone.........
I can't remember the last time I was alone. I do good to remember this morning, for that matter. But I think 'alone' ends when you have kids. Funny...I had to get a divorce to get alone time.
